- tortopia
- The term tortopia comes from the Latin tor-tum (that which has been turned) and the Greek verb opsis (seeing). It translates loosely as 'seeing things in a tilted position'. The term was proposed in 1983 by the American neurologist Allan H. Ropper to denote a symptom complex characterized by a tilting of the visual environment. At the core of this symptom complex lies the symptom " environmental tilt. In a conceptual and phenomenological sense, tortopia is closely related to " plagiopsia.ReferencesRopper, A.H. (1983).
